You will learn to use the Dreamweaver CS5.5 interface, work with text and images, create links and anchors, and design for devices while building successful site navigation. Prerequisite: An understanding of Windows Explorer (copying, cutting, pasting, deleting, and renaming files), excellent mouse and keyboarding skills, and basic Windows operation. This course builds on the skill and concepts introduced in the Dreamweaver CS5.5 introductory course. Focusing on Dreamweaver's website design tools, this course will address topics designed to help create a more attractive website without sacrificing usability and accessibility. Using a PC platform, create and produce computer-aided illustrations by learning the fundamental concepts and features needed to master Adobe Illustrator CS5.5. Learn skills used to create illustrations for print, multimedia and online graphics. Elements of basic drawing are also included. This course is designed as an introduction to photographic enhancement techniques and terminology using Photoshop CS5.5. This course shows you how to use Adobe Photoshop to perform many different image processing techniques. In this course, you will learn how to use several tools for selecting parts of images, and will move, duplicate and resize images. You will learn to use layers, layer effects, filters, painting and blending, and color modification. Also, you will learn how to create images of different formats for different applications. Adobe Photoshop Elements is the consumer version of the industry standard image editing program Photoshop. It has many useful features for manipulating scanned images and digital photographs and preparing them for use in materials such as presentations, brochures, newsletters and web pages. This course is an introduction to the basic features of the program. Practical exercises include the process of organizing, retouching and correcting images using various tools, and preparing them for print or the computer environment.
Building on the skills learned in Photoshop Elements 9.0, you will learn advanced crop and straighten techniques including transformation, rotating, correcting fisheye, and other unwanted effects. Learn advanced lighting and color corrections using adjustment layers. Students will also learn to merge images using layer masks.
You will learn digital video terminology, the Premiere Elements interface, as well as importing digital video content. Learn to use tools, transitions, titling, basic editing, exporting to the web, and creating a DVD in this course. Emphasis will be placed on using the most common digital video formats but all current video formats will be discussed. Basic mouse skills are expected but no prerequisites. No textbook is required.
Designed as a continuation of the basic Premiere Elements class, learn advanced techniques including working with soundtracks and narration. Learn to work with both timelines and scenelines.
