use the online application system to apply for a job? Can I turn in
a printed or written application form, resume, or cover
letter? |
| A. You may only use the online application process
to apply for jobs at GTCC. We will no longer accept paper
applications, resumes, or cover letters after June 30, 2011. You
can attach job specific resumes and documents to your online
application for each job you apply to. |
| Q. What if I
don't have a computer at home? |
A. You can access our online application from any
internet-connected computer. If you do not have a personal computer
at home the following is a list of resources to access computers
and other services:
· Libraries: Visit
Guilford County Public Library or Forsyth County Public Library for
locations and information on how to access computers.
· Guilford Technical Community
College Library
· Family or friends.
· GTCC Human Resources Office,

application requires an email address. How do I get one? |
| A. If you do not already have an email account,
you may obtain a free one at sites such as: AOL, Gmail,
Hotmail, Yahoo.You must have a valid e-mail address to access the
system. All notices such as application receipt and status of
your application will be sent to your email account we will not
send any paper correspondence. |
| Q. How do I get
help to complete the online application and search for open
jobs? |
A. The process if very simple. Please read
the information we have provided on the GTCC Job Openings
page. You may also watch a brief video on the GTCC Job
Openings page. If you still have questions after viewing
these
documents, you may contact our office at (336) 454-1126 ext
50269. Our business hours are Monday - *Friday, 8:00 a.m. -
5:00 p.m. (*May 16 - July 31, 2011, offices will close
at 1:00 p.m. on Fridays)

| Q. How do I
access my online application account after I set it up? |
A. You may access your account by clicking the
"Job Openings" link on the GTCC Employment page. You may check the
status of your applications, update your applications, create a new
application, and see all the jobs you applied to.

| Q. What do I do
if I forget my password or can't access my account? |
| A. To recall your password, use the "Forgot My
Password" link on the Applicant Login page. The system will send
your password to your email address on file. If you don't receive
an email, check your spam and junk mail boxes to see if the email
was routed there. |
| Q. How can I
find out about current job openings at GTCC? |
| A. Visit the Job Openings page for currently open
jobs. We can only accept applications for positions for which we
are recruiting. |
| Q. Can I apply
for more than one job? |
| A. Yes, you may apply for any open job for which
you are qualified. You need only have one applicant account in
order to apply for multiple jobs. |
| Q. I don't have
time right now to fill out the whole application, can I do it
later? |
| A. Yes. You can start your application, log off
the system, then log back in and finish whenever convenient for
you. |
| Q. I'm a
current GTCC employee. Do I have to submit an application, resume,
and letter for an open job? |
| A. Yes. You must submit an online application and
any other required application materials stated in the job
posting. |
| Q. Can I
un-apply from a job? |
| A. To withdraw from consideration, contact us
