General Information

Library Resources

  • Access full-text content from a wide variety of journals, magazines and newspapers in library databases.
  • Go to our Find Articles and More page to see all the databases that are available including all NCLIVE resources.
  • Use Journal Finder to find out which journals, magazines, and newspapers are available through the library either online, in print, or on microfilm.
  • The library has over 2,000 online full-text books over 1,000 audio books, and more than 2,000 online streaming videos covering a multitude of subject areas. These resources are searchable and accessible from the library's catalog.
  • The library has also created tutorials that explain how to use all the resources of the library.

Use the Library From Home

  • Access a multitude of databases from outside campus to search and retrieve the full-text, online version of journals, magazines, and newspaper articles, books, and videos.
  • Remote access to these databases is available to all curriculum students.

  • FOR STUDENTS: To access the databases click on the database link and follow the instructions. Use your TitanCruiser username and password to login. FACULTY & STAFF: CONTACT THE LIBRARY.

Computers including Wireless Laptops

  • All library computers provide access to the Internet and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access).
  • Computers are available at all 3 campus libraries.
  • Wireless laptops - available at all campuses for in-library use only.

Library Cards

  • Curriculum students can obtain a GTCC ID card from the Student Life Office in the Medlin Center at the Jamestown Campus.
  • You will need this ID card to borrow library materials.
  • Basic Skills & Continuing Education students can obtain a Community Patron Library Card from the Circulation Desk at any campus library.

Borrowing From Other Libraries

  • Students may borrow materials from other libraries in the area, state, or region if material is unavailable at GTCC Libraries.
  • Students can also go directly to several academic libraries in the area that have cooperative borrowing arrangements with GTCC Libraries. Show your student ID at these libraries.
  • Materials can be requested through the U.S. mail via Interlibrary Loan. To request material, fill out an Interlibrary Loan Request form from the library's web site.
