Furniture Reupholstery

Learn how to reupholster chairs, sofas, and other pieces of fine furniture. Learn how to sew cushions, skirts, and all covers for re-upholstery; how to re-tie and tie springs; how to brace the frame; and how to secure the webbing. Also included will be fabric layout and cutting, some techniques of refinishing the legs, and fabric patterns and styles. Bring to the first class: a pair of regular pliers and a tack puller (can be purchased at a hardware store) and a small project (footstool, dining room chair etc.) and fabric.
