This training can be done on your site if you have the necessary equipment. The training topics and program hours are customized around the specific skills your employees need. The following units and their associated skill sets can be combined and customized to your specific job applications. Number of program hours based on the specific job applications. Each skill area represents 10-20 contact hours.
Basic CAD
This program introduces computer-aided drafting software for specific technologies to non-drafting majors. Emphasis is placed on understanding the software command structure and drafting standards for specific technical fields. Upon completion, the participants should be able to create and plot basic drawings.
CAD Level I
This program introduces CAD software as a drawing tool. Topics include drawing, editing, file management, and plotting. Upon completion, participants should be able to produce and plot a CAD drawing.
CAD Level II
This program includes advanced two-dimensional, three-dimensional, and solid modeling and extended CAD applications. Upon completion, the participants should be able to generate and manage CAD drawings and models to produce engineering documents.
CAD Level III
This program covers basic principles of three-dimensional CAD wireframe and surface models. Topics include user coordinate systems, three-dimensional viewpoints, three-dimensional wireframes, and surface components and viewpoints. Upon completion, participants should be able to create and manipulate three-dimensional wireframe and surface models.
